Ranking The Green Lanterns Worst To Best

2. Guy Gardner

Green Lantern Corps
DC Comics

Guy Gardner was selected as the first backup Green Lantern for Space Sector 2814 when he was introduced in Green Lantern #59 back in 1968. The character began his life as a petty criminal who scoffed authority, but eventually came around becoming one of the greatest Green Lanterns in the entire Corps.

His childhood arrogance helped him to become one of Earth's greatest heroes thanks to his unwillingness to accept things for what they were. Following the events of Emerald Twilight, he remained a staunch superhero and even used a Yellow Power Ring for good.

Later, he was promoted to become a Sentinel Lantern falling only second in the Guardians of the Universe chain of command.

Gardner has demonstrated an ability to successfully use other Corps' rings having mastered the Yellow Ring and even reforming the Red Lantern Corps following the disappearance of Atrocitus. This is a feat few... if any could match.
