Spider-Man: 10 Greatest Spider-Verse Cameos So Far
6. Spider-Girl (May 'Mayday' Parker, Earth-982)
Introduced in a 'Marvel: What if' story back in the 90s, Mayday Parker is the daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson in an alternate universe. Both her and her infant brother Ben made their introductions to the events of Spider-Verse within the pages of Amazing Spider-Man #8, and boy was it a harrowing introduction. The scene instantly opens inside the flaming wreck of Mayday's home where Daemos of the Inheritors has attacked and seems about to add her and her family to the list of Spiders he has already finished off. With one last assault, her father Peter manages to hold Daemos off long enough to free Mayday, before her mother Mary Jane hands her Ben and tells her to leave. The implication straight away appears that Daemos quickly kills both of her parents, and turns his attention back to her just before she is whisked away by to other Spider-heroes. The story here was truly heartbreaking, and instantly makes Mayday one of the characters most emotionally invested in stopping Morlun and the Inheritors. Her final words to Daemos suggest she will have a very large part to play in the story and, after everything she has just lost, it will no doubt be one heck of a serving of revenge should she succeed.
