Spider-Man: 10 Greatest Spider-Verse Cameos So Far

5. Assassin Spider-Man (Peter Parker, Earth-8351)

Another character introduced in one of Marvel's 'What If' issues is the Peter Parker of Earth-8351. In this universe, Peter is a ruthless and cold Spider-Man, much like Otto Octavius initially was when he took over as the Superior Spider-Man. His demeanour is the result of working so regularly Wolverine. This version of Peter is even equipped with bullet-firing web shooters, and had no qualms about dispatching a swordsman with them when presented with the opportunity. Facing off against Morlun and his ruthless family, the Spider-Army are going to need members who can be equally cold within their ranks. With one team being currently being led by Otto Octavius' Superior Spider-Man - and this before his revelation when Peter returned to the fray - it seems that there will be a large number of the Spider-heroes who will want to try to finish Morlun and his family once and for all. How this will sit with our Peter Parker's "no-one dies" pledge will no doubt serve as the basis for a lot of tension through the events of Spider-Verse, and so piling on the pressure with more characters like this hardened version of Peter will ramp that tension up to the next level before the conflict ends. Plus, that's a hell of a costume.
