The Walking Dead: 10 Comic Moments That Went Too Far
1. Dealing With The Hunters
One of the darkest moments in the series actually sees our protagonists arguably crossing the line. Pushed to their absolute worst to survive, Rick and the group form a plan to trick the cannibals.
At first it's quite entertaining to read as Rick reveals that he didn't come alone at all as Andrea shoots the fingers off of the lead hunter. But once the group have the Hunter's all surrounded with their weapons things take a dark turn.
While nothing overly horrendous is shown it is implied that Rick and the group actually took their time with killing The Hunters and even somewhat tortured them.
This is after The Hunters have revealed that the ate their own children to survive. Rick mocks them by telling them that they may even try some human meat themselves, implying they might eat The Hunter's remains. Jesus Christ. While Rick doesn't actually mean it, it's still a really dark suggestion.
By the morning the group return to those who remained behind. Gabriel, who has only just joined the group, is horrified at what he witnessed.
Even the group themselves show a large amount of remorse for what they did, but Rick insists they had to do it. This is probably the most morally questionable point for the group as a whole, as they never resort to such savage justice ever again. A simple execution probably would've done it!
