The Walking Dead: 10 Comic Moments That Went Too Far

2. The Governor And His Zombie Daughter

The Governor is the first major human antagonist to the series and is very similar to his television counterpart. Except everything is dialled up to eleven for the comics.

The way he treats Michonne, Glenn and Rick is horrid. He even takes off Rick's hand as a warning. He eventually goes on to massacre a whole range of characters in his short time in the series, but perhaps worst of all about The Governor is his relationship with his undead daughter.

It's really no better in the comics series and arguably even weirder. Whereas in the television series he just seems unable to let his dead daughter go, Robert Kirkman writes the Governor as a little bit too gross.

Not only does he feed Rick's hand to his daughter, but he also removes her teeth so he can kiss her without risk of being bitten. What? Why?

It's so uncomfortable to even look at. While it does a pretty good job of quickly demonstrating that The Governor is clearly a very troubled character, readers could've probably gotten that without the addition of some pedophilloic and necrophilic tendencies.
