The Walking Dead: 10 Comic Moments That Went Too Far

3. Maggie's Suicide Attempt

The group were arguably at their lowest after losing The Prison. The safety of the prison fences couldn't help them anymore, and they were in constant danger. Things took a huge toll on Maggie in particular.

Having all of her remaining family members killed in the prison battle, Maggie lost her motivation to continue to survive. In the middle of the night she wandered off and attempted to hang herself.

It's Glenn who finds Maggie and desperately calls for help while trying to get her down. While the group are able to save Maggie, the artwork from the comic does an outstanding job at portraying the fear that Glenn displays.

While this is all going down Abraham is threatening to shoot Maggie just in case she turns, adding even more tension to the scene. Ultimately Maggie survived however, regretting her decision.

Perhaps where things were taken a little bit too far is the impact this had on Sophia. Sophia's first mum had a history of self-harm and ended up committing suicide, so for the eight year old to have her adoptive mother go through a failed suicide attempt just a few months after losing her first mother is really just a bit much.
