Top 10 Marvel NOW! Titles

2. Daredevil, Volume 3

Daredevil Edited Complimented by Samnee's pulpy art style and the general 80s vibe of the series, Mark Waid's Daredevil is a noir thriller filled with ninjas, gangsters and legal practice. In comparison to some of the more radical, science-fiction stories being told by some of Daredevil's contemporary titles, Waid's comic is an expertly executed, traditional superhero narrative that follows in the footsteps of Frank Miller's legendary run. When Mark Waid and Chris Samnee's Daredevil initially came under the Marvel NOW! banner, rather than making dramatic changes to the award winning title, Waid simply took advantage of the revamp to have DD interact with some of the Marvel Universes' newest additions, the blind vigilante taking on the Superior Spider-Man in the first Marvel NOW! issue. However, although the title doesn't feature major stylistic or thematic changes to the character, Waid is constantly evolving the character, exploring new applications of the vigilante's sensory based powers as Matt battles several new personal demons (as well as having to deal with his possession by an actual demon in Shadowland!). Mark Waid's Daredevil really is a must read title, something Marvel seems to agree with me on, and even as Matt Murdock gets a change in scenery (relocating from Hell's Kitchen to San Francisco) in a 'All-New Marvel NOW!' #1 issue released later this month, the fantastic creative team behind the comic remains unchanged.
