The Walking Dead: 10 Highly Anticipated Moments We'll See In Future Seasons
2. The Introduction Of Paul Monroe/Jesus
One of the most popular characters in the second half of The Walking Dead's story arc is Paul Monroe. Otherwise known as Jesus, Paul is a martial arts expert and cunning tactician who serves as the leader of the Hilltop Colony, a group of over 200 survivors. After an initial distrust, Paul gains Rick's confidence and the two eventually become a powerful and inspiring team, joining together Alexandria and the Hilltop in a trade route, thereby broadening the scope of a new and larger world for our survivors. Unfortunately, this larger world comes with a price, and when it comes time to pay it, Jesus lends his considerable skills to the final showdown where the fates of all of our heroes lie in the balance. Paul was an important introduction to the comic series and will be equally vital to the later season of the television show. His unique style and skills will breathe fresh life into Ricks weary group and his strengths as a leader give Rick a partner and confidant to trust in the difficulties to come. We could expect Paul to join the fray near the end of season seven after the group begins cleaning up after the devastation of the Alexandria walker herd rampage. Introducing Paul and The Hilltop at the season break would set the next season up to hit the ground running, building the pressure quickly with the coming of an individual who holds the top spot on this list.
