What Happened To Every MAJOR Character Who Joined The Suicide Squad?

3. Reverse Flash

Reverse Flash
DC Comics

Although not the most famous person to take up the mantle of Reverse Flash, Daniel West did join the Suicide Squad while operating under the title, and given that name invokes a big legacy, they're worth addressing.

For all the faults of the New Suicide Squad series from the New 52, it did at least experiment by bringing in new characters to mix up the formula. First up were Deathstroke and Black Manta, but then the Reverse Flash arrived in the next issue to really shake up the formula. After all, while the Squad themselves weren't strangers to powerful teammates, the Reverse Flash is one of the most powerful characters in the entire DC universe - their firepower had clearly been taken up a notch.

Unfortunately it wasn't to last, as Daniel actually sacrifices himself towards the end of his jaunt with Task Force X. The Squad realise a bomb has been left behind in a nearby village, and Daniel dies trying to escape its blast after taking it to the ocean.

Surprisingly, unlike most other comic book characters, he's still dead.
