What Happened To Every MAJOR Character Who Joined The Suicide Squad?

5. Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn has only been a member of the Suicide Squad for the last eight years, and yet she's probably now the most famous character to have any sort of association with the team.

Joining the group in the pages of the New 52 with a garish redesign that thankfully changed a few years later, Harley found her way to the Squad after falling out with the Joker. The Clown Prince proceeded to literally lose his face and Harley, at this point still in the abusive thrall of the Clown Prince, masterminded a breakout to get to Joker's now detached face.

Eventually, however, Harley grows sick of Joker and begins anew. She joins with the Suicide Squad yet again, and is active with them pretty much permanently until the series ended in January 2019, after which she had even come to blows with the Justice League. Following that - and after a brief excursion which took her to Jack Kirby's Fourth World and Apokolips - Quinn was caught up in the events surrounding Heroes in Crisis, where she and Booster Gold attempted to solve the Sanctuary Killings, with both having been set-up as prime suspects.

Apart from that, Harley and Poison Ivy are back together in their own mini-series, and are currently evading the Floronic Man. She'll be linking back up with the Squad in the book's relaunch this December though, so don't expect her leave of absence to last.
