What Happened To Everyone Who Killed Batman?

During the first regular run of the Superman/Batman title, 2005 served up Jeph Loeb and Carlos Pacheco's five-part Absolute Power story.

In this slightly bonkers tale - because, hey, comic books - the Legion of Super-Villains from the 31st century killed the Justice League of America, then raised young versions of Batman and Superman for evil means. The end result was an adult World's Finest who were violent dictators butting heads with Wonder Woman and her Freedom Fighters.

One such battle saw Batman shoot and kill the Ray, which in turn sent Wonder Woman into a rage that resulted in her fatally stabbing the Dark Knight. In further 'into a rage' happenings, this then sent Superman off the deep end - with the Last Son of Krypton murdering Wonder Woman by strangling her with her own lasso.

Some timey-wimey BS would follow, propelling this evil Batman and Superman back in time, where they would be killed by Jonah Hex in Scalphunter, make a deal with Darkseid, then travel back to take down the Legion of Super-Villains.

The end result is Bats and Supes defeat the Legion and restore the original timeline - although both are left haunted by the memories of the murders they'd committed.

As for what happened to Wonder Woman after this, the answer is not much at all, for she obviously wasn't aware of a faux timeline that never technically existed.
