Wolverine's 10 Worst Ever Days

Wolverine Birthday

In one of the most infamous X-Men storylines, the X-Men face off against Magneto and his Acolytes as they threaten humanity's imminent destruction. In the battle, the X-Men severely injury the Master of Magnetism, so he pulled every ounce of adamantium from Logan's bones in retaliation.

The pain was so overwhelming for him that his healing factor is burnt out, which increases the amount of time he's in pain. Jean tried to soothe his mind, but the pain was so all-encompassing, Jean's efforts had little effect.

Wolverine later described the experience as, “You ever been hurt so bad, you couldn’t hear anything but a high-pitched roar… and then you realized that it was the sound o’ yourself screamin’?”

Though Logan survived the experience, one can imagine he wished he hadn't. The loss of his adamantium led Wolverine to become more animalistic and feral. Weirdly, it also made him lose his nose.
