Wolverine's 10 Worst Ever Days
2. He Murdered His Children
Wolverine has not only killed his children once but twice under two separate creative teams. Both Jason Aaron and Rick Remender forced Logan to murder his children, though Remender managed to make it much worse.
In Aaron's run, The Right Red Hand recruited most of Wolverine's children he'd unknowingly fathered over the years, using them as bodyguards to protect them from Logan's fury.
One by one, Wolverine murdered his five children, unaware of the truth until the Right Red Hand revealed it after he had finished slaughtering them, still drenched in their blood. Horrified at his actions, Wolverine retreated into the Canadian Tundra and began throwing himself from cliffs for weeks to punish himself. If the Avengers and X-Men hadn't intervened, who knows what he might have done next.
During Remender's run on the Uncanny X-Force, Wolverine fought the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, led by his estranged son Daken. Daken was enraged at the thought of Wolverine running a school and caring for mutant children when Logan was never there for Daken when he was a child. Swearing that he wouldn't stop until he'd murdered every child under Wolverine's care, Logan saw no other option than to drown his son in a pool of water.
To add insult to injury, as Logan cradled Daken's dead body, Sabretooth revealed that he had orchestrated the entire conflict to inflict unforgettable and unending pain.
What's worse is that even though the storylines were years apart in real-time, in the Marvel Universe, it would have only been months, if not weeks, between the two incidents. Meaning Wolverine would have killed all six of his children in a short time. It's safe to say Logan would have done anything to avoid these conflicts. He carries the pain and regret of his actions every single day.
