X-Men: 10 Times Rogue Stole Another Hero's Powers
8. Psylocke
After her stint as a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants, Rogue's powers became less of a useful weapon to use against her enemies and instead became more of a curse, trapping a poor frightened woman inside a body she could not escape from.
Yet using her powers to save those closest to her can be well worth it in Rogue's eyes, as can be seen in X-Men Legacy #232, when she absorbed the powers of the psychic swordswoman Psylocke.
When the X-Men and Magneto encountered a powerful mutant known as Proteus. He possessed another mutant named Blindfold, as well as several of the other X-Men, including some deceased members. Everyone except for Rogue fell to Proteus's powers. This left Rogue all alone, forced to defend herself and a wounded Magneto against her friends.
Thanks to a quick diversion from Colossus, Rogue was able to grab Psylocke's powers for a brief moment and fought against her Proteus-controlled teammates. In the end, her use of Psylocke's powers was not at their fullest potential but it still saved her teammates and gave Magneto enough time to recover and face Proteus alone.
