X-Men: Everything You Need To Know Before Marvel's Big Relaunch
6. There's A Lot Of Dead Mutants
The number of mutants that have been killed off recently may not exactly rival the likes of events such as Genosha (where 16 million mutants died), but that's not to say that there haven't been many deaths as of late.
It started with the death of Bloodstorm in Extinction and then continued across Rosenberg's run on Uncanny. During those twenty-two issues Blindfold, Wolfsbane, Chamber, Dark Beast, Havok and Multiple Man all died, just to name a few.
Along with this, Magik's mutant half was destroyed, leaving her to be fully consumed by her demonic side and the Juggernaut's Crimson Gem of Cyttorak was destroyed, leaving him completely powerless.
All in all it's been a pretty tough time for the Cyclops' small contingent of X-Men and Dani Moonstar is not very happy with Summers about it - which is likely why the New Mutants will be reforming come November.
