X-Men: Everything You Need To Know Before Marvel's Big Relaunch

5. Emma Frost Is The Black King

X-Men 2019
Marvel Comics

Everyone loves a good rebrand, including, it seems, Emma Frost.

Yep, in Matthew Rosenberg's Uncanny X-Men the former White Queen decided to become the new Black King, as well as the head of the Hellfire Club while she was at it.

Frost's machinations did not last very long though, with her being imprisoned by General Callahan and the O.N.E (a government anti-mutant organisation). She was then subsequently forced to work for the General, using her Hellfire connections and telepathic abilities to manipulate the X-Men into handing over mutant villains to the government.

Now she's free from the control of Callahan and seemingly working with the X-Men, but whether that'll continue to be the case remains to be seen.

Oh, and Mystique is the White King now - just in case you were wondering.
