8. True Lies 2
The Previous Movie: James Cameron's most undervalued and smallest-scale movie, True Lies features Arnold Schwarzenegger playing Harry Tasker, a covert US agent who has to hide this fact from even his wife (Jamie Lee Curtis), resulting in plenty of badassery and hilarity.
Why It Was Abandoned: Among the many casualties of September 11th, James Cameron decided in light of that day's horrific events that it wasn't particularly funny or appropriate to be so flippant about terrorism, and so the project was shelved. Cameron insists that it's stone cold dead, though co-star Eliza Dushku - who played Harry's daughter in the original - has claimed the opposite, for bizarre reasons unknown. While the movie clearly isn't happening, especially with Arnie's busy slate, a possible TV series has been tentatively discussed by Cameron and former Dark Angel showrunner René Echevarria.
