10 Actors Most Likely To Be The Next James Bond - Ranked
3. James Norton
Happy Valley, Grantchester and McMafia star James Norton has been a favourite of the bookies for quite some time now, and the fact his career has been mostly limited to TV work definitely ensures he won't be too high-profile for the part.
He's certainly got the looks and acting chops audiences expect from 007, though his chances ultimately boil down to what sort of vibe Bond producers want from their newly-minted spy.
After all, Norton is a Cambridge graduate and brings with him a plummy British quality that couldn't feel much further from Daniel Craig's more thuggish, brutal appeal.
He's also on the young side being just 33 at the moment, but by the time production kicks off he'll be 36, making him just a year younger than Craig when he started filming Casino Royale.
Norton's career is on quite the roll right now, so if he continues to build momentum with great TV work and doesn't become a huge movie star in the next year or two, he's definitely a hot candidate.
