10 Actors Planning To Make Huge Comebacks
1. Paul Dano
Paul Dano is one hell of an actor, plain and simple, so it's a shame we've seen so little from him as of late.
Cinematically, Dano has appeared in just two films over the last five years - Swiss Army Man and Okja - though has kept himself busy by directing the Jake Gyllenhaal-Carey Mulligan drama Wildlife and appearing in TV shows War & Peace and Escape at Dannemora.
Even so, fans clamouring to see him in a beefy movie role have been out of luck for four whole years, though that's thankfully set to change with the smorgasbord of hugely promising parts on the horizon.
First and foremost, Dano will play The Riddler in Matt Reeves' The Batman, which from the few clips we've seen suggests a radically different - and freaking terrifying - iteration of the iconic supervillain.
Elsewhere, Dano will star opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in a remake of the hit Danish thriller The Guilty, is set to play a fictionalised version of Steven Spielberg's father in the director's film The Fabelmans, and will appear in Chernobyl director Johan Renck's new drama Spaceman, alongside Carey Mulligan and Adam Sandler.
Dano's set to blow up all over again. You love to see it.
