Matthew McConaughey is on his was to becoming the 2014 version of Joseph Gordon Levitt in 2013 when it comes to speculative movie roles. After his amazing work on the HBO series True Detective, it's humorous to find people just releasing that he's out there. The reality is that McConaughey has been a solid actor for years and he's only getting better as he gets older. He's proven that he can be tough and intellectual at the same time two key tributes to the classic Indiana Jones character. McConaughey is another actor that has a tremendous amount of range from the main man in romantic comedies to the most stern and series guys on screen. When picturing McConaughey with the fedora and whip, flash back to Sahara, for better or worse, in 2005. Although the movie was a bit campy and goofy, it's virtually an Indiana Jones clone with a modern twist. Possible Storyline: If Disney goes the route of rebooting or recasting Indiana Jones, it would be wise to not break up or destroy the established timeline. Rather than washing everything clean and starting over, it'd be smarter to have new movies interlace with what's already established. A film involving McConaughey could show him prior to the events of Temple of Doom with McConaughey first meeting Short Round and his quest for Lao Che in finding the remains of Nurhachi.
