10 Actors Who Got Severely Injured In Movies (But Just Ran With It)

6. Brad Pitt Severs Tendon... Makes It Part Of His Character (Se7en)

There are cuts and there are cuts. Then there is severing a tendon in your arm, which is exactly what Brad Pitt did on the set of Se7en.

In a scene where his Detective Mills character is chasing the suspected killer through a particularly rainy set, Pitt ended up slipping and shoving his arm through the windscreen of a car, gashing it almost to the bone.

As this was almost right in the middle of production, the script had to be altered to incorporate Pitt having to wear a cast for the duration of filming. Although this did cause the actor some difficulties when filming scenes that took place before the actual injury in the narrative, so he had to hide it the best he could.

On a side note, one injury Pitt acquired whilst filming Troy literally kept the actor from running at all as he managed to tear his Achilles tendon and was out of filming for weeks, but the irony is that the character he was playing at the time was none other than legendary hereo Achilles, whom the tendon was named after.
