6. Michael B. Jordan

According to Deadline, Michael B. Jordan’s name has already been mentioned by Warner Bros as a potential Cavill replacement, although any move would be some way down the line.

While casting a black actor as Superman would undoubtedly bring a fair amount of controversy, there’s something to be said for Jordan landing the part. He’s already been in two comic book movies - one great, one, er, not - and he’s impressed in pretty much everything he’s done in his still young career.

He’d offer up a different take on the character to what we’ve seen before, since he’s an actor who often brings a lot of intensity to his roles, but there’s plenty of charm and humour there too. He’s effortlessly cool and we already know he can do superhero action, and he’s got the dramatic range that few actors to take on the role could match.
