10 Actors You Had No Idea Produced Awesome Movies
1. Brad Pitt - Kick-Ass
Prior to the release of Deadpool, audiences didn't get too many mature superhero movies or shows. They especially didn't get ones that were both funny and generally agreed upon as good. 2010's Kick-Ass saw Dave Lizewski (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) attempting to become a superhero, despite his lack of powers. He met the violent, foul-mouthed twelve year old Hit-Girl (Chloƫ Grace Moretz), who trained him to be passable.
When the first trailer premiered, the character of Hit-Girl was met with controversy for being so young and cursing up a storm. Ultimately this didn't cause the movie to perform poorly by any standards (grossing $92 million on a $30 million budget). Had it caused even more problems, producer Brad Pitt might've had to explain his involvement in the project.
Since that wasn't the case, information on Pitt's involvement is scarce. Director Matthew Vaughn is one of his good friends, more than likely being the reason why Pitt was being considered for the role of Big Daddy. He chose to play a role Inglorious Bastards instead.
This resulted in the casting choice of Nicholas Cage, allowing him to do his best Adam West Batman impersonation and adding the star-power to the movie that was missing without Pitt.
