10 Amazing Horror Anthology Films You Have To See

9. The ABCs Of Death 2

The first ABCs of Death is not a very good movie, which is rather disappointing considering how great the premise is. Whereas most anthologies contain four or five segments, The ABCs of Death has 26 of them. Yes, each segment corresponds with a different letter of the alphabet, and so the entire movie is basically just a collection of short films. There isn't even any coordination at all between the 26 directors; it feels more like a film festival than one movie.

That sounds awesome, but at least half of the segments in the original film are completely unwatchable. Luckily, The ABCs of Death 2 is a massive improvement, with far more hits than misses this time. There are still elements of dark comedy, but nothing approaching the level of that segment in the original where a person dies by inhaling farts. Yes, that's real.

What's also cool about this one is that even if you aren't enjoying a segment, you only have to wait a few minutes to get to another one, which chances are you'll like more. It doesn't even have to be watched all in one sitting, either. The ABCs of Death serves as a solid collection of mini-horror films, and the second installment really delivers. Just skip right to this one and avoid the original.
