Kin was released in 2018 and sports a super cool cast with a thrilling and often deeply affecting storyline.

After he finds a mysterious high-tech gun, teenager Eli (Myles Truitt) decides to use the weapon in helping his brother, Jimmy (Jack Reynor), who has landed in hot water with a local crime boss (James Franco). Things quickly escalate as the siblings find themselves pursued by a host of violent thugs and two soldiers (one of whom is played by Michael B. Jordan) who want their gun back.

A no-holds-barred thrill ride, Kin is a slice of brilliantly executed sci-fi fun, but amongst the gadgets and futuristic jargon it's also an effective portrait of a loving brotherly relationship and a look into the themes of responsibility and family.

With a cast rounded out by Dennis Quaid, Zoe Kravitz and Carrie Coon, it's also a well performed star-studded affair with enough wit and excitement to make you laugh and gasp right up until the closing credits.
