Incantation is a Taiwanese film released in March 2022, directed and produced by Kevin Ko. The feature stars Tsai Hsuan-yen and Huang Sin-ting, who play the central characters in this found-footage horror. Received well by fans and critics alike upon release, this deeply disturbing film follows themes that touch upon possession, demons and folklore.

Incantation follows character Li Ronan as she tries to undo a curse she fell under after breaking a religious taboo some years before. She is worried that the curse will subsequently fall upon her own child, so seeks to fight against whatever evil has pitted itself against her. The production is deeply creepy and feels authentic at times; it is well cast with plenty of jump scares to satisfy horror lovers.

The film begins with these ominous words: "My name is Ruo-Nan, the reason why I'm making this video is I hope that people could help me lift the curse bestowed upon my daughter after watching what I have to say. Because of my ignorance, I never thought that it was my actions that brought the curse. The following content may contain certain hidden dangers and risks, which includes myself retelling the horrifying encounters that happened six years ago."

Viewers are left feeling they may too be cursed if they choose to watch the movie.
