Legendary TV director Michelle MacLaren has helmed episodes of the likes of The X-Files, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and Westworld, and was even the original choice to direct Wonder Woman, but ultimately left amid "creative differences".

Though she's never directed a theatrically-released movie, her experience working on so many cinematic TV shows makes her a fine fit for just about any superhero, female-centric or not.

How Likely Is It?: This pretty much feels like a sure thing sooner rather than later, especially if her upcoming movie The Nightingale makes a decent splash and proves what she's capable of on the big screen. Marvel or DC will probably scoop her up within the next few years. 8/10
