1. Insidious
http://youtu.be/fGT87k_CVJ0 One of the scariest horror movies this writer has ever watched - fact. Now i'm not normally "spooked" or "scared" by horrors, due to my ability to detach myself from reality and accept that what I am watching is merely a film and the events fictitious. My defences were routed by Insidious, however. The scene above still sends a chill down my spine purely because of the unexpected nature of it, whilst Tiny Tim's falsetto "Tiptoe Through The Tulips" being lent as the soundtrack for the film makes my skin crawl. It is by far, in my humble opinion at least, the scariest horror movie ever made, and therefore an imperative watch this Halloween.
