10 Awesome Horrors To Watch This Halloween

6. The Hills Have Eyes

Wes Craven released the original Hills Have Eyes trilogy in 1978, which ran until 1995's Part III. French director Alexandre Aja and Grégory Levasseur then remade the series in 2006 with input by Craven himself. The second film of the remake series wasn't a direct reboot of the original Paer II, put rather had a completely new plot involving US army soldiers. It is the first film of the remake that I enjoyed the most - the Mutants, as they are known, made that way by nuclear testing in their remote desert area, are much more sadistic than ever before. I will never forget the murder of Dan Byrd's Bob Carter character - for me it remains one of the most sickening deaths in horror. The whole series is worth a watch, from the original to the remake. The seemingly omniscient presence of the Mutants makes for a nerve jangling affair.
