7. Top Gun
Director Tony Scott's 1986 breakthrough film about fighter pilots and jet dog-fighting was recently on the fast track for a 2013 re-release. However, due to Scott's death this past year, these plans appear to be, at the very least, on hold. With that being said, however, who among us doesn't want to see more of Maverick, Goose, and the Iceman? Who among us doesn't want to know more about that Russian Mig, Maverick's old man who flew with Viper, the admiral's daughter Penny Benjamin, or other naval aviating beach athletic activities? Sure, the cut of this film that exists is streamlined, focused and on-point, but there's always room for more buzzing of the Tower!
