10 Awesome Movies With Terrible Endings

3. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - Cloned Human Releases The Dinos

Taking the franchise into some frequently quite horrifying territory during his 2018 sequel, J.A. Bayona's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was far from a perfect movie, but it certainly boasted its fair share of awesome moments.

The explosive opening act involving Chris Pratt's Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howard's Claire Dearing and more attempting to save as many dinosaurs from being melted by a volcano was exhilarating stuff.

Then, when the heroes end up within the creepy Lockwood Estate as said dinos are auctioned off on the black market, the escape of the genuinely quite terrifying Indorapter results in easily some of the most unsettling sequences of the entire series.

But most unfortunately just remember this silly flick as the one that possessed one of the dumbest endings of modern times.

With the remaining dinosaurs being trapped in a room and slowly dying due to a gas leak, Owen convinces Claire that releasing the doors and letting the creatures free, while maybe the morally correct decision, was likely too dangerous a move.

But with Isabella Sermon's Maisie Lockwood learning she was actually created in a similar way to these prehistoric animals during this final act, this apparent clone hilariously opts to overrule all the adults in the room and unleash all kinds of dino chaos on the world.

Is it rather cool watching these destructive creatures released into our now Jurassic World? Why yes, it is. But it was also an absolutely baffling and hugely irresponsible call, and one that ended a sometimes quite bold and entertaining movie on a frustratingly dumb note.
