10 Awesome Recent Movies That Must Never Get Sequels

1. Sausage Party

Sausage Party Barry
Sony Pictures

Sausage Party is an animated movie like no other, making the most of its adult audience rating with a no-holds-barred religious allegory that intentionally crossed the line as frequently as possible.

It was perhaps too vulgar for some tastes, but in offering up an all-too-rare look at the insane places adult animation can go to, it was a major breath of fresh air.

One suspects that the novelty would wear off quickly with a second movie, though, so while Seth Rogen has expressed a desire to dabble further in R-rated animation, it's probably best if it he comes up with something completely new.

Will It Happen?: Off the back of Sausage Party's considerable box office success, Rogen conceived of a live-action-animation hybrid sequel in the vein of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, where the sentient foods hunt down their celebrity voice actors.

However, last year Rogen's enthusiasm seemed to have cooled somewhat, which combined with the added costs of shooting live-action pretty much makes this a lost cause (thankfully).

Should these awesome movies stay standalone or not? Got any other picks? Shout it all out in the comments!
