10 Awesome Train Wreck Scenes In Films That Are TOTAL Train Wrecks

1. Hancock - Hancock Stops The Train

I wonder what was harder to watch for Will Smith. The second half of the movie Hancock or the airing of his wife's Facebook show Red Table Talk where she revealed she had an affair whilst they were married. Personally I don't think I've seen a movie that delivers so much promise in the first half but is such a let down in the second. A moody, alcoholic superhero trying to fit into a society that despises him? Oh, what could have been. On the bright side, it was made in 2008 so, in the Hollywood world, it's probably due a remake soon.

Despite underwhelming critics, this film absolutely smashed the box office making over 600 million dollars off of a 150 million dollar budget and was the fourth highest grossing film of that year (The Dark Knight was number 1).

Although the ending to the film was a monumental train wreck, the awesome train wreck scene around half way through is where the film peaks. Moments before Jason Bateman is about to be smashed by a train, Hancock (Smith) flies in, dumps Bateman's car out the way and smashes the train to a stop.

I see my role at WhatCulture the same way my wife sees my role as a lover: I contribute in a very small way, my presence is barely noticeable and I’m not entirely sure if the laughter is at me or with me.
