Featuring in all but the most recent series of AHS due to working on Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series Ratched, Sarah Paulson (who sometimes played multiple characters in the same season) is a deeply beloved part of the show.

Earning herself a whopping five Emmy nominations for her various AHS performances to date, Paulson's talent has likewise graced other projects such as 12 Years A Slave, Oceans 8, American Crime Story (of which she won a Golden Globe), and Carol.

There are plenty of roles that she'll be remembered for, but one that’s best swept under the rug is that of Heather Tate in atrocious 1999 romantic drama The Other Sister.

The film stars the Oscar-nominated Juliet Lewis as an affluent, mentally disabled young woman who seeks independence from her overbearing mother (Diane Keaton) after falling in love with Danny (Giovanni Ribisi), a fellow mentally disabled student, while at college.

Slated for its overly melodramatic and manipulative writing, The Other Sister was even derided by famed film critic Roger Ebert, who deemed its deployment of mental disability as shameless and gimmicky.

The Other Sister isn’t just the low point in Paulson’s gleaming career, it’s arguably the lowest point for its entire cast.
