10 Awful Movies Breaking Bad Actors Want You To Forget

3. Flipper (1996) (Jonathan Banks)

Why Him?
Universal Pictures

After a lengthy lull in his career, Jonathan Banks enjoyed a major comeback with his role as hitman Mike Ehrmantraut starting with the second season of Breaking Bad. He was promoted to series regular in Seasons 3, 4 and 5, and returned to the role in the prequel series Better Call Saul. His performance was a favourite among fans and critics for both shows and he was nominated for a total of five Primetime Emmys for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role in the two series.

He started his career off with appearances in films like Beverly Hills Cop, Airplane and 48 Hours, before having his breakout with a starring role in the television series Wiseguy. Long before he became TV's most beloved hitman, however, his once promising career began to take a dip in the '90s. One of his more well known 1990's film roles was as the villain in the 1996 remake of Flipper. It was overall a cheesy and ineffective kids movie with no real substance and Banks gives a spiritless performance that comes across as though he'd rather be doing anything else.
