10 Awful Movies The Flash Actors Want Us To Forget
1. Drunk On Love - Grant Gustin (Barry Allen)
For nearly a decade, Grant Gustin has been busy playing The Flash in half a dozen shows across the Arrowverse. Because his schedule is so chock-a-blocked, the young actor hasn't had much chance to appear on the big screen.
But that doesn't mean Gustin hasn't popped up in a movie or two. In 2017, he starred in the comedic drama, Drunk On Love. In the film, a teetotaller called Taylor joins an AA meeting to seduce a former hooker, stripper, alcoholic, drug addict called Krystal. Trying to win her over, Taylor emulates his too-cool-for-school brother, Campbell, portrayed by Gustin. Even though Gustin is consistently solid in The Flash, watching him play a character oozing of natural machismo proves how chameleonic he can be.
If only he were in a better movie. The director and acclaimed Oscar-winning actor, William H. Macy, tries too hard to make everything whimsical, which forces the film to come across as sappily quirky. Even though the acting is solid across the board, you don't believe any of the characters since they keep reacting to situations that goes against all logic.
