10 Bad Movies Made Much Better If You Watch Them As A Comedy
4. Batman & Robin (1997)
In the late '90s, director Joel Schumacher did an effective job of butchering the Batman franchise with the atrocious Batman & Robin. It flopped at the box office hard, at least when compared to the previous films. You can routinely find it on many worst movies of all time lists, and it is considered one of, if not the, worst superhero movie of all time. There are plenty of things that are just wrong about this film. Bane was a complete waste of an awesome character. Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze is flat-out ridiculous. Alicia Silverstones Batgirl is pointless. And Chris ODonnell as Robin is probably one of the first cinematic superheroes that every film-goer collectively wanted to punch in the mouth. Though, this is all part of the charm. Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy is so laughably hammed up that you have to enjoy it. During the opening fight scenes, Batman & Robin click their heels together and ice-skates pop out; for some strange reason that is completely awesome! Yes, this movie is horrible but whenever it comes on late night on cable you know you're watching it.
