No stranger to on-screen heroism during his time as one of the world's favourite superheroes, Wolverine, Australian actor Hugh Jackman also proved his real-life heroic tendencies back in 2016 when he dashed out to sea to save his son and other swimmers who had gotten caught up in a strong current.

The incident occurred at the famous Bondi Beach in Syndey, Australia, where Jackman was relaxing with family and friends. Footage from the scene showed the Les Misérables star helping one stranded swimmer back to the shore before dashing back into the waves to save his teenage boy, Oscar. The beach was later closed due to dangerous conditions, with many witnesses thanking the star for his heroic efforts.

Daniel Conn, an Australian rugby player, was chatting with Jackman just before the incident occurred and recounted how the actor "went into full on Hugh Jackman mode" as soon as he saw that people were in danger.
