5. Rock Paper Dead
It might feature the combined talents of some of the horror genre’s most recognisable names – including Fright Night and Child’s Play director Tom Holland, Friday the 13th screenwriter Victor Miller and horror composer Harry Manfredini – but that’s the only good-looking part of forthcoming flick Rock Paper Dead.
The plot – a serial killer with a talent for both murder and doll making returns from a lengthy stint in a hospital for the criminally insane a cured man … or is he?! – sounds suspiciously like Holland’s 1983 sequel Psycho II and at first glance doesn’t seem to have much to do with its daft title. Considering the biggest actor name attached to the movie is Michael Madsen, known for his questionable career choices and prolific but usually disappointing annual output, we’re not holding out too much hope for Rock Paper Dead.
