10 Best Ever Movie Bartenders

1. Margo Dunne - Gone Girl

Carrie Coon and Ben Affleck in Gone Girl
20th Century Fox

It never hurts to have a family member who runs a bar, as evidenced by Carrie Coon's performance as Ben Affleck's supportive sister in Gone Girl.

The film is so meticulously crafted the performances so at home that, like Wayne in Crazy Heart, the depth of Affleck and Coon's relationship is evident within in a minute, when she offers to tell her brother the boring story of how she thought she saw a friend of hers around town, but it turned out to be someone else.

So she's lightly charming, realizing her place is just a simple bartender in Boston and always will be, but she's written with such lightness and ease that only a character actress like Coon could embody accurately.

She also keeps board games behind the bar, so she knows how to keep her clientele from boredom.
