10 Best Movies Set On Halloween Night

5. Tales Of Halloween

31 Rob Zombie
Epic Pictures Group

Another spooky anthology of scares set on Halloween night from ten different directors, providing us with ten different scary stories, ranging from home invasions, kids greedy for Halloween sweets to the point of murder, axe murderers, aliens, demons, serial killers and homicidal pumpkins.

Veteran horror actor and John Carpenter regular Adrienne Barbeau convincingly sews the stories together, reprising her role from The Fog (at least respectfully alluded to if not the actual character) as the local radio DJ. Barbeau made a string of horrors in the 1980s such as The Fog, Swamp Thing, Creepshow, The Thing and the wonderfully titled Cannibal Women In The Avocado Jungle Of Death and appearing, albeit briefly, in Sons Of Anarchy.

Tales Of Halloween doesn't cover much new ground in terms of scares but long term fans of horror will warm to these charming stories, especially the opening entry, directed by Dave Parker, titled Sweet Tooth.

Denied the hoard of candy collected by his parents on Halloween night, little Timmy goes one step too far and murders them both, eating the sweets from their torn open stomachs. Cursed to roam the earth in search of more candy and now going by the grisly moniker of Sweet Tooth, this is a cracking little creepy tale and perfect for those in search of something to get you in the mood for spooky season.
