While there were many entries that would have been deserving of the top billing here, the sheer size and entertainment value on show here is something to behold. It is 15 minutes of pure brilliance that doesn't let up, while also containing essential plot elements for the rest of the film that tanatalise rather than giving anything away.

The scene begins with a meeting with a Swiss banker in a Spanish establishment that soon goes awry, with more twists and turns than what is normally contained in an entire film. Having made an innovative escape through the balcony window, Bond returns to MI6 to deliver a suitcase he has acquired. The double crossing and action has only just begun though, with the death of the man MI6 were protecting occurring soon after by exploding suitcase.

It is here where the action amps up once more, with Bond pursuing the lady responsible for the detonating suitcase in an epic boat chase down the Thames. Having found the one sunny London day a year to film on, the cinematographers bring the iconic river to life in spectacular fashion. The action is absolutely bonkers with explosions galore, boats flipping 360 degrees, boats that turn into cars and an insane finale on a hot air balloon.

The humour is great, the acting superb and we even see Q in a hilarious cameo. The rest of the film can't live up to this standard, but considering the high bar that was set, it was unfortunate but not surprising.
