10 Best Superhero Films Of The 2010s
3. Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
After 10 years and 18 films, this is what the Marvel Cinematic Universe was building to. The most anticipated film of all time, and the biggest crossover movie to date.
The film follows Thanos' quest in collecting the Infinity Stones, and doing so will allow him to eliminate half of all life in the universe, hoping that the other half will thrive, and it's the job of the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy and a plethora of other heroes to stop him.
With all the hype around Thanos for the best part of 10 years, Marvel had to deliver the goods. But thanks to some incredible visual effects, stop-on motion capture and a terrific performance by Josh Brolin, the Mad Titan became the franchise's single greatest villain, determined to fulfil his destiny no matter the cost to his health or happiness, convinced that this is the best course for all life.
The film is choc-full of epic moments, like the battle on Titan, the invasion of Wakanda, Thor's arrival, etc. And let's not forget the cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers: the snap.
It really was the biggest film to ever be released....
