2. Universal Comes To Decision For Fast and Furious 7

Production on Universal's seventh Fast and Furious film, which was headed to theaters later this year, came to a screeching halt about a month ago when franchise star Paul Walker tragically died in a car accident. The studio halted production "indefinitely," to not only pay respects to those close to Walker but to figure out where to take the franchise without him. Many speculated that the franchise wouldn't continue at all, but last week we got word that the film had been given a new April 2015 release date. Now we have official word that director James Wan and writer Chris Morgan have tweaked the F&F7 script so that they can use the footage they've already shot with Walker, and give his character a much deserved happy ending. THR reports that the film will now "retire" Brian O'Conner, rather than kill him off, which is exactly what fans of the character (and fans of Walker himself) want.
