5. David Fincher And Aaron Sorkin Reteam For Steve Jobs Biopic

The dynamic duo that made The Social Network are reteaming for
another biopic about a CEO of one of the world's biggest companies. That's right, David Fincher and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin are looking to team up to bring Steve Jobs' story to life. Unlike Jobs, the Ashton Kutcher film that focused on the iconic founder of Apple, Sorkin's screenplay focuses on three keynote speeches (the first Mac, NeXT, and the iPod) and is inspired by the biography written by Walter Isaacson. Sorkin finished the script earlier this year but no director had been put in place until now. Sorkin talked about the film with The Daily Beast back in 2012, and gave an interesting glimpse at what he has in store:
"I hope I don't get killed by the studio for giving too much away," Sorkin said, "but this entire movie is going to be three scenes, and three scenes only, that all take place in real time." Real time, Sorkin said, "is when a half hour for you in the audience is the same as a half hour for the character on the screen. There will be no time cuts. Each of these three scenes is going to take place before a product launch€”backstage before a product launch. The first one being the Mac, the second one being NeXT (after he had left Apple), and the third one being the iPod."
There are no other details on the project yet, but the idea of Fincher and Sorkin collaborating again to tackle another biopic focusing on a controversial tech icon has us extremely excited. They've already proven that they work together well, so this film is pretty much destined to be on our most-anticipated list when it begins production. Source:
