4. A Featurette Reveals More Info On Doctor Strange
The box-set has a short featurette on Doctor Strange, with Kevin Feige and director Scott Derrickson talking about their goals with the movie. From the information thats already been revealed the film sounds like it will be the weirdest Marvel movie to date, with magical powers and other realms getting in the mix. The featurette sadly doesnt reveal any photos or footage from it, but Derrickson describes it as a mind trip action film, which will feature powers that have never been shown onscreen before. For all the craziness though they want the movie to feel real enough that it doesnt turn people off, which is where Benedict Cumberbatch comes in; his performance is said to ground the whole thing. The Quantum Realm featured in Ant-Man was a little tease of the kind of visuals people should expect from Doctor Strange, with alternate realities and other states of being coming into play. From the way they describe it the movie might be their biggest gamble to date, but theyre probably not worried; people said the same about Guardians Of The Galaxy.
