10 Biggest Unconfirmed Rumours About 2018 Movies

4. The Plot Involves A Volcano - Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

If Jurassic World's success is anything to go by, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be right up there with the biggest movies of next year - and given the absence of an episodic Star Wars movie, it might even be the biggest.

This in mind, it's strange that we don't really know anything about it. The subtitle "Fallen Kingdom" does invite all sorts of story possibilities, but what exactly will the movie be about?

Well, we might finally have an answer to that question. A little over a month ago, information about the movie's tie-in merchandise (via Jurassic Outpost) was finally revealed, all-but confirming that the movie will feature two new dinosaurs... and a volcano.

It's been rumoured for quite some time that Isla Nublar - the island on which Jurassic World was located - and its dinosaur inhabitants will be put at risk due to unexpected volcanic activity threatening the island's ecosystem.

As a result, the film's human characters will be forced to rescue the creatures and move them to safety. Presumably, this plan will go awry, but if this volcano plot point is true, the "Fallen Kingdom" subtitle could be referencing the fact that the dinosaurs' habitats - or, the dinosaur kingdom - will be destroyed by lava, fire and debris.

That sounds like a Jurassic Park movie unlike any we've seen before, but it remains to be seen if the film will follow this outline.
