Marvel teased the introduction of Captain Marvel at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. Then, the heroine showed what she was capable of in her own movie that released last month. Captain Marvel is, essentially, the Marvel equivalent of Superman. In that same regard, she has been presented as the Earth's last hope. She's The Avengers's trump card; an ace.

In theory, she is our best bet against Thanos. Not only the best bet, but the safest bet. If you were to scream out into a crowd of Marvel purists that "CAPTAIN MARVEL IS GONNA WHOOP THANOS UP AND DOWN THE UNIVERSE," you'll be hard-pressed to find someone who disagrees. If anyone had to put money on the final fight, they should be betting on Miss Danvers all the way.
