10 Characters Who Will Probably Die In 2020's Biggest Movies

3. Red Guardian (David Harbour) - Black Widow

The first trailer for Black Widow teased a family reunion storyline, with Natasha Romanoff exploring her Russian roots in the time between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.

Her "family" includes fellow female super-spies Yelena Belova and Melina Vostokoff, with Stranger Things' David Harbour also involved as the overweight Alexei Shostakov - aka the Red Guardian. Basically, he's Russian Captain America.

And that's all we really know about the plot, but considering that this is a prequel, we can assume that some of these new characters won't be making it out alive, because this story can do whatever it wants without affecting the present-day MCU continuity.

Admittedly, any of Romanoff's family members could die considering that we didn't hear anything about them in Civil War, Infinity War or Endgame, but the trailer positioned Red Guardian as a father figure for Romanoff, that type of super nice guy you see in movies who would gladly sacrifice himself to save his daughter.

Romanoff herself made a sacrifice play in Endgame, so maybe she found the courage to do that by looking at an event in her own past?

Plus, the death of fan-favourite Harbour would also give the movie a huge emotional kick, as his demise at the end of Stranger Things 3 proved. Despite how adored he is, the guy clearly isn't immune to being killed off in a major franchise.
