9. Mephisto (Ghost Rider)
Mephisto (or Mephistopheles as he was credited as being called in the Ghost Rider movies) was actually depicted in a pretty lame way in the Ghost Rider movie. He was shown in human form throughout his time in the movie (although a horned shadow was cast by the character) and didn't even slightly resemble the terrifying red demon he is shown to be in the Marvel comics. That said, it would have been cool to see a bit more of him and what he was capable of - and an actual on-screen showing of his true form would have been more deserving of such a classic comic book character, even if it was only for a single scene. He was certainly depicted as being powerful - having been able to cure Barton Blaze's cancer and imbue Johnny Blaze with the powers of the Ghost Rider - but he wasn't even close to be being as powerful as the reality-warping, super-strong, unkillable magic user that the comic book version is and he certainly didn't look anywhere near as cool. He also (kind of) appeared in the Ghost Rider sequel, Spirit of Vengeance, but he was never referred to by name (simply being called "the Devil") and was just as pathetic.
